A Good Book
With the Holidays arriving, now is a good time to ask for that special book for under the tree. Share with others a book you have read in the last 12 weeks that you feel would be a great gift for someone. In 4-5 sentences name the title and the author of your book, give a short summary of the plot, and why this book appealed to you. Please be sure to use proper grammar and spelling.

I would recommend this book as a gift because it’s extremely interesting to read and it keeps you on the seat of you chair. It also makes you think more in-depthly about what you believe in!

A good book that I have read in the last 12 weeks is called No Right Turn by Terry Trueman. I liked this book because of the storyline is always packed with intensity and the charcters development is unbeievable. The plot is that the main character sees his dad commit suicide and says he will never talk to no one again. His mom remarries and her new husband and a very nice car. The protagonist steals the car which is a 1968 Corevette and almost gets caught by the cops. He got away by outrunning them. The protagonist meats a girl who is the girl of his dreams gets him caught up in his fantasies of driving his car. His stepdad eventually finds out what he has been doing. The stepdad is not made at all and says that he should of asked to drive, he would have said yes. I think this book would have been a good book to give to someone for Chistmas.
I have never read an english book except our book that we are reading in class. In germany we only read like very thin books so that everybody would understand it.I would say that none of them were very interested because they were so short that the books didn't relly have a topic were you have to think about it. In my opinion i would like to read an interesting american book that is challeging but not to hard to read.I'm interested in crime books mixed with love stories... so if anyone has a book clue for me please tell me.
A book that i would recomend for christmas is the Cirque du Freak Books. These books are packed with action and easy to understand. As long as you like vampires and the vampire life. These books take place over several years and makes you think twice if vampires are real or not.

This book is about a 14 year old boy whos mom and dad are getting divorced. while flying on a plane to see his dad, the pilot had a hardattack. The book is pretty much about this kid and how he servives on his own in the wilderness.
The last book I've read was Waiting for Sarah by Bruce McBay and James Heneghan. This was a great book about about a teenage boy who's parents and sister die in a car accident, and he is the only survivor. He makes himself isolated in the world, but he soon finds a new girl at school who brings something special into his life. What makes this a good book is how it made me curious and always questioning the next move.
A good book that I recommend for Christmas is Where the Red Fern Grows. This book is written by Wilson Rawls. The main character wants a hunting dog really bad but he dont have enough money. So after he saves enough money he gets the dogs. There names are Little Ann and Old Dan. At the end Little Ann dies.
A book that i have read in the past 12 weeks that I know other people have enjoyed too is the Twilight series I have only read the first book called 'Twilight'. Written by Stephenie Meyer. Its a long book but it is interesting too. In this book Bella has to move to Forks to live with her dad and while she is there she meets a interestin man and starts to fall in love with him only to discover that he isnt human.
One book that i have read is called Twilight, this is written by Stephanie Meyer. Twilight is a teen romance which has some very interesting twists and turns. The main character Bella goes and lives with her father Charlie in Forks where she meets Edward who turns out to be a vampire. She ends up falling in love with him. I recommend this book because it keeps you entertained and makes you want to keep reading and not wanting to put your book down.
4 Blondes, by Candace Bushnell, is definitely a Christmas idea for the mature teenager. Within this novel there are four short stories about success, romance, expectations, and love. These short shoties emphasis each of the blondes unique personalities and issues they encounter. Each story is not only short but an easy read too.
Recently I read "Pants on Fire" by Meg Cabot. It's about a girl named Katie who makes out with another boy behind her boyfriend's back. Then, an old friend, whom Katie betrayed years ago, comes back. She fears he is trying to ruin her life, while she is also trying to figure herself out.
I would have recommend any of the Twilight books... they are amazing. They are plot driven and a fast read. I would also like to recommend Crispin by Avi. It is a fairly simpler read, but it is fascinating. Avi writes historical fiction, it is always interesting to see what time period Avi we touch upon. In Crispin it takes place in Europe around the time of the plague/medeval times. lots of action...
I truly enjoyed reading your blogs this last week. Some of the books appear to be very interesting. Over the Thanksgiving weekend I was looking for books to give as gifts and found one I am going to give to myself. Although I will not have time to read it until the holiday break, I chose BOOM:VOICES OF THE SIXTIES by Tom Brokaw. Hey, I was in elementary school then. But I remember the Kennedy assassination, the hippies, the Cold War, the Viet Nam War, etc., ect. What I do not remember was all the politics surrounding it. Maybe I'll find out how the 60s affected my generation culturally. That is my gift to myself. Mrs. Nelson
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer was a good book. Its a romantic/fansty. It teaches you the lesson of "love someone for who they are, not what they are." Bella(the main character) meets edward(the vampire) and she loves him no matter what. This book will keep you reading.
A book that i have read in the last 12 weeks is a book called, "The Confession", by Beverly Lewis. Katie Lapp was shunned by the amish and went to search many places for her real mother. Her mother did not even know who she was.
